We are a designated property within the Government-selected Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings in the Udatsu townscape.
Come craft Mino-Washi goods together inside an Edo-period building featuring an “udatsu” element built in 1760.
From solo visitors to groups up to 45 people (about one tour bus) can join at the same time.
(For groups over 45, we recommend splitting time between a town stroll/shopping group and a workshop group.)
Perfect for couples, friends, families, tour groups, and company trips.

For individual visitors: Warm lights in Mino’s night — Akari Art Exhibition × a special evening at our Mino-Washi shop

Once a year, Mino’s townscape is enveloped in gentle light as the Akari Art Exhibition begins.
We extended our shop hours into the evening to match the pedestrian-only nights.
Daytime bustled with guests enjoying workshops and choosing souvenirs,
including many visitors from overseas.
Our in-store “World Conquest Map” added yet another new country.
As night fell, the streets filled with lights and smiles.
Guests carrying lanterns made for a dreamlike scene,
and our staff got excited about “creating Mino-Washi works with a light theme next year!”
Energetic junior-high students also handed out flyers along the street,
and the whole community came together to enjoy the festival.
Inside the shop, “Horse” zodiac items from 12 years ago reappeared in a special “treasure corner.”
Many guests picked them up with smiles, saying “This is cute,”
and the warm atmosphere blended nostalgia with something fresh.

Mino City’s Edo-period “Udatsu Townscape,” rich with old-Japan ambience, is wrapped in gentle lights once a year on this special occasion.
Swaying lights, silhouettes that softly emerge.
Light-art works made with Mino Washi, a Japanese paper craft with 1,300 years of history, line the streets and transform the whole town into a dreamlike stage.
Hundreds of pieces gathered from across Japan illuminate their creators’ feelings, gently enveloping visitors in a festival of light.
This exhibition, continuing for over a quarter century, is a beloved hallmark of autumn in Mino.
Every work shows a new expression as you walk, revealing different scenes at every step.

Sales at Ishikawa Paper Goods is a little unique.
Rather than simply “selling,” every day is a bit different—planning ideas, talking with customers in the shop,
and making new proposals.
Because we’re a small team, everyone helps each other and
we move by making the most of each person’s strengths.
One thing I especially like is the morning meeting.
Not only policies from our president—we also share progress and discuss together.
Even on busy days, this time helps bring our feelings together as one.
And my “partner,” you could say, is the daily report I write.
It’s where I organize plans, jot memos, and record insights—
I even write down worries sometimes (lol). For me it’s like an important reflection notebook.
Of course, there are many tricks I can’t fit here,
but I’d be happy to share them when we meet in person. ^^
