Community Association Friendship Trip
Bonding across generations through Mino Washi Craft Experience
A Warm and Friendly Atmosphere
━…━…━…━…━…━…━…━
This week's reservations include
a tour group from Taiwan,
elementary school social studies field trips,
and community association friendship trips.
We welcomed visitors from various parts of Japan and abroad.
This is the second visit from the community association this time.
They joined us on a day trip tour from Ichinomiya City.
A group of 24 women ranging from their 30s to 80s participated.
They sat together based on the experience menu they chose,
allowing younger members to support the older ones, fostering intergenerational exchange and deepening friendships.
Some left highly satisfied, while others, despite creating wonderful works, seemed eager for more.
There were many imaginative creations.
This experience is enjoyable across different generations and genders,
making it highly recommended for community association friendship trips.
We also had our annual visit from fourth graders of a local elementary school this week.

Enjoy strolling through streets lined with houses featuring Udatsu walls from the Edo period.

Wealthy merchants of the time competed to build impressive Udatsu, showcasing their wealth. You can appreciate various designs of Udatsu here. There are also shops where you can experience the charm of Mino Washi.
Since there are various shapes of Udatsu, be sure to take photos.

Minowa's Musings 【Tea Ceremony】
As the days grow colder,
it's finally becoming comfortable even during the daytime.
Autumn is the season for tea ceremonies.
This year, with the National Cultural Festival being held in Gifu Prefecture,
tea ceremonies are being held in various places throughout Gifu.
I haven't had much opportunity to attend tea ceremonies,
but when I go, I can sometimes see wonderful tea utensils and hanging scrolls,
which not only provide a feast for the eyes but also enrich the spirit through the unique atmosphere of enjoying tea in a different setting.
Japanese tea seems to be very popular among people from overseas,
and I hear that tea-producing areas are bustling with foreign visitors.
If you have the chance, please try attending a tea ceremony.
You may rediscover aspects of Japanese culture!
Well then...
