An engaging craft experience where all participants unite

Washi Korokoro Samurai Series

━…━…━…━…━…━…━…━…━…━

Recently, guests from Taiwan enjoyed our Washi Korokoro Samurai Series

across four tour groups.

The Washi Korokoro Samurai Series includes many intricate parts,

making it challenging even for Japanese participants,

so it must have been quite difficult for our international guests.

Overcoming this challenge was also a task for our staff, but

we successfully ensured that all participants enjoyed their time during the fourth tour.

Because it was challenging, the satisfaction from the completed works

was evident in our guests, and it was fulfilling for us to see.

By progressing through most steps together,

all participants were highly focused, making it

an almost attraction-like experience with a sense of accomplishment.

By the fourth tour, our staff had gained some leeway,

and we were able to offer decoration advice and recommend

photo spots, which led to guests posting on social media.

You can view the posts from Google Maps reviews.

Please give a like to their creations!

This week, we also had visitors from Italy, and we enjoyed crafting together with cheerful guests, making it a very international week!

We have welcomed guests from over 38 countries, both individuals and groups.

North and South America:

USA, Brazil, Canada

Asia:

Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar, China, East Timor, Nepal, India, Israel, Cambodia, Laos, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Pakistan, Malaysia

The bright red bridge crossing the Nagara River

is the oldest existing modern suspension bridge in Japan, completed in 1916 (Taisho 5).

It was a suspension bridge that realized Japan's largest span at the time,

and is a modern building of high historical value.

The bridge is 113 meters long, with a span of 116 meters and a width of 3.1 meters, and only pedestrians and bicycles are allowed, so it's safe.

You can leisurely enjoy the view of the lush mountains and the clear Nagara River.

After renovation work was completed on March 9, 2021 (Reiwa 3), lighting was installed on Mino Bridge,

and many people come to take photos at night.

Minowa's Musings 【Trains】

Recently, my 3-year-old and 1-year-old grandchildren have shown interest in trains,

and they often watch videos on YouTube.

When we're in the car and stop at a railroad crossing,

they excitedly shout, "Here comes the train!"

When it passes by, they want to see more and make a fuss. (*_*;

I want to take them on a train ride, but I'm still a bit worried about the 1-year-old...

Then I thought—that place might be good!

In Mino City, there's a tourist spot called Old Mino Station

where old train cars that were once active are on display.

I used to commute on those trains, so it was nostalgic for me.

It's the station featured in Goro Noguchi's "Private Railway Line," who is from Mino City.

I took the two of them there,

and the 1-year-old especially

kept getting on and off the train,

sitting on the seats and looking out the window,

repeating the same actions over and over.

The 3-year-old grandchild quickly got bored and kept wanting to go home,

while the 1-year-old didn't want to leave, so we had to lure him with juice

and finally managed to leave.

I didn't expect him to be so interested,

so next time, let's ride a moving train! (^ ^♪

By the way, my father was a steam locomotive engineer.

Perhaps it's in the blood...

Well then...

Here's Old Mino Station!
