2024 Mino City General Fair
Thank you for visiting us.
━…━…━…━…━…━…━…━
Last weekend, on 11/9 and 11/10, the Mino City Industrial Festival
"Mino City General Fair" was held.
Customers who eagerly await our zodiac items every year
Children who have been coming to make "Washi Korokoro" crafts every year since the Year of the Rabbit
We were truly delighted to have everyone visit us.
A customer who always brings her three grandchildren for the experience
Seems to give them pocket money in advance and tells them they can use it as they like,
So the grandchildren choose the experiences themselves.
Each of the three sisters created their own original snake crafts.
This time, we also offered Daruma doll experiences.
With fewer parts among the craft experiences, Daruma dolls are very popular with small children aged 3 to 5!
Easy to make and cute!
They also enjoyed decorating them further.
This is a recommended craft experience for the upcoming year-end and New Year holidays!
Daruma dolls are also popular among inbound tourists.
Please consider planning a workshop event!
"Washi Korokoro" handcraft kits come with instructions.
The kit parts have printed faces,
And include die-cut parts,
So with glue or adhesive, you can simply stick them on to create
Cute roly-poly dolls.
※ Some parts require simple cutting with scissors.
Participants can proceed to make them on their own,
So event staff only need to watch over them.
It's a workshop that can be enjoyed by small children to the elderly.
Fun for all ages!
We offer tool rentals like glue and scissors from Ishikawa Shigyo.
≪Tool Rental Contents≫
Set for 10 people: ¥5,000 + tax

This Weekend: "Washi Korokoro Samurai Series"
Challenged by Overseas Visitors
Inbound Group Tours
Experience Traditional Crafts of Gifu
━…━…━…━…━…━…━…━
Starting this weekend, group tours from Taiwan
enjoyed the handcraft experience of the "Washi Korokoro Samurai Series"
making Nobunaga, Ieyasu, and Kicho (Nōhime).
They had a great time.
When the guide explained the Samurai Series,
they made gestures of cutting with swords,
and everyone got excited!
The Samurai Series has many kit parts,
and even Japanese participants sometimes find it challenging,
so we were nervous about how to proceed with participants who don't understand Japanese.
Although there are diagrams, they are in Japanese,
they tried to proceed by looking at the pictures,
but it seemed difficult.
So, during the second tour this week, we decided to proceed together with everyone.
Then, all the participants fully concentrated on the explanation,
and we were able to proceed with the interpreter's help from the tour guide.
In the end, we helped with making parts for the three different menus,
but everyone left very satisfied.
Our staff worked hard, sweating, but
we are glad that everyone was able to finish making their crafts.
At our shop, we have welcomed visitors from many countries,
including many inbound tourists.
The number is an impressive 38 countries (individuals and groups)
North and South America:
USA, Brazil, Canada
Asia:
Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar, China, East Timor, Nepal, India, Israel, Cambodia, Laos, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Pakistan, Malaysia
Europe:
UK, France, Germany, Poland, Scotland, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Sweden, Austria, Italy

Minowa's Murmurings 【Autumn Leaves】
Last week, I was worried that the sudden cold might cause the leaves to wither without turning colors,
but finally, the autumn foliage has begun in Mino.
Due to the temperature differences between day and night, trees like lacquer are starting to turn bright red!
The ginkgo trees are shining golden.
On sunny days, the contrast is beautiful.
The autumn foliage light-up has also started nearby.
They're still a bit green, though...
I plan to enjoy the quintessential Japanese autumn scenery for a few days.
Everyone, please go out for autumn leaf viewing this weekend.
The "Ōyada Shrine" introduced earlier in the hometown corner
is highly recommended!
Well then...
