Founded in 1902 in Mino City, Gifu Prefecture, a production area of Minowashi paper, Ishikawa Paper Industries Co., Ltd. manufactures and wholesales Minowashi goods under the value of "Handcrafting by a Washi Shop." We blend traditional crafts with entertainment, planning, developing, manufacturing, and selling. We hold the highest number of Minowashi Brand certifications in Japan (and the world).

We produce OEMs and original products, including hand-dyed Minowashi, chiyogami, DIY kits, washi dolls, zodiac New Year's decorations, Hina dolls, samurai dolls, kabuto displays, carp streamers, seasonal decorations, and more. ■ Introduction of 12 Zodiac Decorations. New series like "Korokoro 12 Zodiac," unglazed 12 zodiac animals, hanging ornaments, and unglazed 12 zodiac sets that can be displayed every year.

A Word from the Staff — Sato's Corner

Thank you for your continued support.

This is Sato, following my child's wrestling journey.

It's the season for sports!
Last weekend, I watched my daughter's (first grader) wrestling tournament.
It was her first official tournament in several months. Could she win a medal!?

— First Match —
Right after the start, she goes for a tackle!!
This set the pace, and she won 11-0 by technical fall!
* Technical fall: Match ends when there's a 10-point difference before time runs out.
The opposing girl ended up scared and crying (Was my daughter that intimidating?)

— Second Match (Semifinals) —
With a medal on the line, she starts again with immediate tackles!!
Another 11-0 technical fall victory!!
She even flashed a peace sign during the interval, showing confidence.
The opponent was already crying after the first tackle (Just how scary is my daughter?)

— Final Match —
So far, overwhelming victories!!
But this was her downfall...!!!
Perhaps due to overconfidence or nerves because her opponent was a boy,
she lost 0-10 by technical fall without putting up a fight.
Resulting in a silver medal!!
Her overall record is 3 wins out of 4 matches (2 silvers, 1 bronze), so not bad,
but she still has a way to go before winning gold. Time to practice more!

The next tournament is the "Saori Yoshida Cup" in Tsu City, Mie Prefecture, next weekend!
A national tournament over two days, and winners get a photo with Saori Yoshida.
Aiming for her first gold medal, the Sato family's wrestling journey continues...
